Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ArkiQ Solutions LLC(“Trajecta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Trajecta website at jointrajecta.com, the Trajecta mobile application, our marketing accounts on third-party platforms (including TikTok), and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We are the data controller for personal information processed through the Service. If you have any questions, contact us at team@jointrajecta.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: name, email address, password hash, and date of birth.
• Fitness profile: height, weight, body measurements, training history, goals, dietary preferences, and other inputs needed to compute your Trajecta Overall and plan.
• Workout and nutrition logs: exercises completed, sets, reps, weights, meals, and macronutrient totals you record in-app.
• Communications: messages you send to support, in feedback forms, or via email.
• Recovery inputs: sleep hours and daily step counts, where you record them.
• Group activity:the groups you join or create, messages you send in them, and any report you file about another member’s message.
• Profile photo: if you set one, the image you choose from your camera roll.
• Payment information:handled by Apple’s in-app purchase system and RevenueCat. We never see or store card details.

Information we collect automatically

• Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, time zone, language, crash reports, and feature interactions.
• Cookies and similar technologies:on the website, for essential session functions and aggregate analytics; on our web sign-up quiz, the Meta Pixel; and in the iPhone app, Meta’s software development kit, which is Meta’s code built into our app (both are described in section 4).
• Push notification tokens, if you allow notifications, so we can send the reminders you turned on. You can revoke them at any time in your device settings.

Camera and photo library

The app asks for camera access to scan a barcode on a food package and to photograph a meal so we can estimate what’s in it. It asks for photo library access when you set a profile picture or choose a meal photo from your library. Barcodes are read on your device and used to look the product up. Meal photos are sent to Anthropic to produce the estimate. We do not keep photographs taken while scanning, and Trajecta doesn’t save photos of your meals; Anthropic handles them under the terms in section 5.

Location

If you allow it, the app (on your phone or in your browser) may check your location while it reads a meal photo. It sends that location only if the photo looks like restaurant food or shows a restaurant’s logo, to find which restaurant you’re at and match the meal to that restaurant’s published menu. The location goes from your device to our server and from there to Apple’s map search, for one search of restaurants within about half a mile. Our servers don’t save it or write it to logs, and we don’t add it to your account. We don’t use your location for anything else, including ads, and we don’t track where you go. Your device keeps your last location and the restaurants found near it for up to 2 hours, then deletes them; it also deletes them when you sign out. The app asks once. You can turn location off at any time in the app’s settings, in your phone’s Settings (Settings > Trajecta > Location), or in your browser’s site settings.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health in the iPhone app, Trajecta reads your workouts from it: the type of workout, when it started and ended, how long it lasted, the calories burned during it, the step count for walks, runs and hikes, and the name of the device or app that recorded it (for example, Apple Watch or WHOOP). Trajecta only reads from Apple Health and never writes to it. Each workout is saved to your account so the app can offer to log it, and you choose whether to log it or dismiss it. A workout you log joins your workout logs and is handled like any workout you add yourself, including the AI processing described in section 5. We don’t use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, and we don’t sell it. Apart from workouts you choose to log, we share it only with the service providers that store our data (section 4). The app may check for new workouts in the background so they’re ready when you open it. You can stop sharing at any time in the Health app (tap your picture, then Apps, then Trajecta) or in your iPhone’s Settings (Privacy & Security > Health). Workouts already saved stay in your account until you delete your account, and you can ask us to delete them sooner using the contact details in section 16.

2. How we use information

• To create and operate your Trajecta account.
• To compute your Trajecta Overall, generate training and nutrition plans, and personalize daily targets.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through our payment processors.
• To send transactional emails (account, billing, plan updates) and, if you opt in, marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
• To diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the Service through aggregated analytics.
• To match a restaurant meal to that restaurant’s menu, using your location if you allow it.
• To publish content on your behalf to TikTok or other platforms, only when you explicitly initiate the action.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR: contract (to deliver the Service you signed up for), consent(for optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies, and your device’s location for restaurant matching), legitimate interests (to secure the Service and improve it), and legal obligation (tax, accounting, regulatory compliance).

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providerswho process data on our behalf under written contracts: Supabase (database and auth hosting), Vercel (web hosting), Apple (app distribution and in-app purchases), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (email), Anthropic (the AI model behind our estimates, plans and coaching — see section 5), and analytics/error-tracking providers. Each of them is bound by written contract to provide the same or equal protection of your data as this policy states, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.
• Meta Platforms, so we can measure which of our Instagram ads work.On our web sign-up quiz at app.jointrajecta.com/start, the Meta Pixel sends Meta four events (page viewed, quiz started, account created, trial started) with standard browser data such as your IP address, device and browser details, and Meta cookies. In the iPhone app, Meta’s software development kit tells Meta when the app is installed or opened, when you start onboarding, create your account, reach the subscription screen, and start a free trial, along with an anonymous ID for that install. When you pay for a subscription, on the web or in the app, our server sends Meta the amount and currency with a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and your account ID. Meta can match the scrambled copy to its own accounts but cannot read it, and uses the match to work out which ad led to the payment. For payments in the app, we include the scrambled email and account ID only if you tapped Allow on Apple’s tracking popup. Meta may use this data under its own privacy policy. We never send Meta your quiz answers, body measurements, food or workout logs, or health data. The pixel does not load if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
• Apple Maps, for restaurant matching.If you allow location, Apple’s map search receives your location to find nearby restaurants. Apple handles it under its own privacy policy (see section 14).
• Other Trajecta users, when you choose to share with them. If you join or create a group, the other members of that group can see your name, profile photo, streak, Daily Score, Trajecta Overall, and any messages you send in it. Leaving a group stops future sharing; messages you already sent remain visible to that group.
• Legal and safety recipients when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. AI processing

Parts of Trajecta are generated by a large language model provided by Anthropic. When you use them, the relevant information is sent to Anthropic’s API to produce the reply:

• Food estimates: the food you selected or typed and your answers about it.
• Meal photos:the photo you take or choose from your library and, for a restaurant meal, the item names on that restaurant’s menu and anything you type about your order.
• Daily and weekly plans: your goal, targets, and recent training and nutrition history.
• Trajecta Coach: the messages you send it and the recent activity needed to answer them.
• Your weekly recap: the summary sentence attached to your Trajecta Overall.

We send what the feature needs and no more. Under our commercial terms with Anthropic, this data is not used to train their models. Group messages between members are never sent to it.

These outputs are estimates, not measurements. See the section on accuracy and results below.

6. International transfers

Our services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, billing records for tax purposes). Backups are purged on a rolling basis within 90 days.

Location is used for one search and isn’t kept on our servers. The app keeps your last location and the restaurants near it on your device for up to 2 hours, deletes them after that, and deletes them when you sign out.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your data and your account;
• export your data in a portable format;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• withdraw consent at any time;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of Meta’s tools on the web sign-up quiz and in the app (see section 4) may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. Turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser opts you out of the pixel, and our site honours it automatically. To opt out of everything we send Meta, email team@jointrajecta.com and we will stop.

To exercise any of these rights, email team@jointrajecta.com from the email address on your account, or use the in-app Settings → Delete account control. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We use HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest for our managed databases, hashed passwords, role-scoped access controls, and audited third-party providers. No system is perfectly secure, so you should also use a strong, unique password.

10. Children’s privacy

Trajecta is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at team@jointrajecta.com and we will delete it.

11. Health and wellness data

Some of the data you give us (weight, body measurements, exercise performance) may be considered health-related. We treat this data with the same protections as other personal data and process it only to deliver the Service to you. Trajecta is not a covered entity under HIPAA, and the Service is not a medical device. Workouts from Apple Health are covered under “Apple Health” in section 1.

12. Accuracy and results

Trajecta’s scores (the Trajecta Overall and Daily Score), calorie and protein estimates, training plans and coaching are generated by AI and are estimates, not measurements. They are not guaranteed to be accurate for your situation, individual results vary, and we do not guarantee any particular fitness outcome. The Service is for general informational and motivational purposes only.

13. Cookies

The marketing site uses essential cookies for navigation and session integrity, and aggregate analytics cookies to understand traffic. Our web sign-up quiz also uses the Meta Pixel to measure our Instagram ads. The mobile app uses no advertising cookies; it uses Meta’s software development kit, described in section 4. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

14. Third-party platform privacy policies

When you use Trajecta together with a third-party platform, that platform’s privacy policy also governs the data they collect from you:

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
